Routes
- Kathmandu-Tolkha-Kathmandu Tour: This easy 19-mile (32-kilometer) ride is a great way to experience the Kathmandu Valley on two wheels. Start with a climb out of the city, then enjoy a thrilling descent through typical villages and farms. There will be some chances to test your skills on sections of single track. Visit the ancient temple at Tolkha for a picnic lunch, before returning to Kathmandu.
- Kathmandu-Jamcho-Kathmandu Tour: This challenging 27-mile (45-kilometer) ride takes you through the National Park jungle. Enjoy breathtaking views and a brilliant descent along a rough-and-ready trail.
- Kathmandu Scar Road Tour: This is one of the most challenging rides in the Kathmandu Valley. Start with a 20.5-mile (34-kilometer) climb along a winding paved road to Trishuli and the heart of Langtang. Once at the top, go off-road and climb the last 3-mile (5-kilometer) steep section for stunning views of the Himalayas on clear days. Once inside the National Park the trail becomes narrow and technical. Traverse the jungle with a cliff drop on one side, and test your technical riding with some fast and furious downhill stretches. Be sure to keep your eyes on the trail and not the mountains!
- Kathmandu-Chobar-Lele-Godwari-Kathmandu Tour: This longer, scenic ride takes you through the southern end of the Kathmandu Valley. Suitable for intermediate riders, the tour combines a mix of jeep tracks, country roads, and trails. The 28-mile (47-kilometer) trail undulates through the countryside and small villages of the Newar and Tamang people, before making a sharp ascent to Dhanda, where views of the Kathmandu Valley open up before your eyes. There is the option of a challenging single track, or a switch back jeep track to get down to the valley.
